Mindoolah Project - tenements E20/560 and 561
The Mindoolah Project is located about 90 km northwest of the town of Cue in the Murchison Mineral Field, in WA and covers ground across tenements E20/560 and E20/561. Gold mining has previously taken place adjacent to and just west of E20/560.
Cainozoic sediments cover a major part of the Project area. During the 6 months to March 2009 the data was re-examined and the following work program is planned:
- Vacuum drilling program of 2500 metres along 250 holes to test gold mineralisation at Targets 1-4 and platinum mineralisation at Targets 4 and 5.
- The area of Target 4, in addition to gold and platinum mineralisation, is also planned for testing for calcrete-hosted uranium (carnotite) mineralisation.
- Additionally, a hand held scintillometer will be used to test Target 4 (at 100m x 100m centres) for uranium (carnotite) mineralisation.
Killara Project - tenements E51/1148 and 1149
(100% Fairstar)
The Killara Project is located about 77km east of the town of Meekatharra in the Murchison Mineral Field, in WA and covers ground across tenements E51/1148 and E51/1149. The Project area is considered to have potential for "unconformity associated" base metals and uranium mineralisation. Additionally, geological settings similar to the Mindoolah Gold Mining Operations, and high-grade iron mineralisation in the Project environs, have been noticed.
Cainozoic sediments cover major parts of the Project area. To unearth the area's potential, after a study of available information and with input from the consulting geophysicist, it has been decided to carry out an airborne magnetic-radiometric survey of the Project at 100 metre line spacing. This information is aimed to help define exploration targets at the project.
